We were the first doggies to get there so we decided to take a photo posing in front of the sign. Don't we look very cute?
It wasn't long before everyone else started to attend so that was very cool as we got to make a few new doggie friends.
After making all these new friends we went inside for the blessing. Silly Ros forget to take many photos inside but at least she got one.
This is us resting while the humans do their part and then a lovely guy came around and gave us our blessings. After all the humans had done their part we all went back outside and rested while all the humans talked with each other.
It was a quite a warm day today so we really enjoyed resting in the shade while Ros talked with friends. All too soon it was time to start heading home after a big morning out. We can't wait to come back again next year and catch up with all our doggie friends.
Almost home :) We were tired doggies once we had gotten home but before going off for a nap Ros took photos of us with our Blessing of the Animals Certificates that we got this time.
Once we had taken our photos we fell asleep dreaming of our next adventure :)
Aw, that is lovely. And you even got a certificate!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you gots to go to the Blessing. I go every year to several Blessings because my Lee plays guitar for some of the services. You look very well mannered. I am very good also except one years I gots laughter. Yep when the priest made the sign of the cross over me he made a really big cross and I gots confused and thought it was hand signals when he went up I went up when he came down I went down and when he went across well I was confused so I did a 360. Always before they made the sign of the cross on my head.

What a special event to make new friends!
ReplyDeleteThat was a very nice event for you to go to. We aren't sure if any churches around here do one of those Blessings of the Animals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the good thoughts for Lightning.
