MY 9TH BIRTHDAY

Hey Milo here! Last Thursday was my 9th birthday and my human Ros worked very hard to make it a very special day. Well Thursday morning the excitment started when I watched Ros going over to the thing humans call a fridge and pull out something that she told me was just for me. So I came over to check it out.
This is what I saw.  My human had made me my very own birthday cake. Oh, I was very very excited and it smelled absolutely pawesome. Ros used the same recipe as she used when she made me those home made doggie biscuits which I loved. She used peanut butter as icing and there was a dog treat in each corner.  Well after admiring my cake Ros called me over as she had something else to give me.
Yes she made me my very own party hat and i must say I look very handsome wearing it. Don't you think dog friends? Well after posing with my party hat I then did posing without and if anything I think I look even more handsome.
Then Jet appeared after waking up after a short nap so Ros said we had to pose together which I think we did very well and can you believe we got no treats for this hard work?!! I mean, what is wrong with my humans?
Well after all that posing Ros told us it was finally time for birthday cake so we quickly went over to the table where my cake was. Firstly though my human lit the candle and then all my humans joined in singing me happy birthday.
Here I am posing with my birthday cake after my humans had finished singing me "Happy Birthday". We got down to my favourite part of eating the cake.  Ros went into the kitchen and got out a knife to cut my cake up with and I of course got the biggest slice.
That's mine on the pink plate. We could not wait to try it but Ros said first I had to pose with my slice
which I thought was quite unfair as I was ready to eat my cake. Although I was pleased that Jet was made to wait too so I didn't suffer alone.
Finally though Ros said ok we could have our cake and we were both very happy and we dived on our cake in case Ros decided to change her mind. In fact, I ate my piece so fast that Ros could not get a photo which led to us both getting a second piece.

As you can see we both loved my birthday cake and would have loved a third piece but Ros told us she was saving it for tomorrow. We were most disappointed. Well after all that excitement I thought that would be the end of all the surprises but I was quite wrong!!  Turns out Ros had also bought me two birthday presents. Oh boy! They are a basket ball with rope attached at each end so it will be much easier for me to pick up and Ros hopes the rope will also stop me from popping the ball. My next present was Kong Wubba. This one is made to be used in water so it's a perfect toy for me. It also says it's good in snow not that I think we will get to test that.
I love my new toys and I've already tested the basket ball down at the oval. It was awesome fun but I haven't tried my new Kong Wubba as it's winter and the water is freezing so i'll have to wait a little while longer before I can test it out. I'm sure it will be pawesome fun. Well after all that excitement Jet and I decided to have a nap.
After having a rest for a few hours we woke up and were ready to have a play so Ros took us outside for a pawesome run around playing tug.

After all that playing we went back inside for a well deserved rest.  As you can see I had the most awesome birthday ever. Also, the other day, my human found some puppy photos of me so I want to show you how cute I was when I was little.

Aren't I just so adorable?  I've grown a lot since then if do say so my self but still just as cute. Bye from a very happy Milo.

THE VERSATILE BLOG AWARD

Milo and Jet Here! We would like to thank Finn over at Finn's Dog Blog for giving us the versatile blogger award.

Now we have to tell you seven thing's about ourselves. Milo here and I think I'll go first.

1: As far as labradors go I'm quite a tall boy as I've only met one other lab that was bigger than me. In fact, when we're out on walks people often point out just how big and handsome I am.

2: I'm a very submissive boy and that sometimes gets me picked on by other strange doggies which makes me most upset as I only want to be friends.

3: Both my Dad & Mum were show doggies and I even have a fancy show dog name. It's Delly Top Of The Class.

4: I'm a very lucky puppy in that I get to sleep inside overnight and I have my very own doggie bed in Ros's room and sometimes if i'm really lucky Ros let's me up on her bed for a cuddle and we watch dog movies together.

Jet's turn.

1: I've made a few new dog friends on our walks lately. The first one was Daisy who is a black labrador like me and is one of Milo's best fur friends. The second friend was Max who Milo met last year when Max was still a puppy himself. Max was a bit scared of me but I know that once he gets to know me better we will be the best of friends.

2: I'm very bouncy and love to jump but that gets me in trouble so I try my best not to jump but sometimes it's very hard to resist especially when Ros is not looking at me and I have to check she still knows I'm around after all.
3: I was raised on a natural diet by my lovely breeder and Ros has continued feeding it to me so that's why I have such a beautiful shiny coat. I also get chicken frames a few times a week as well to keep my teeth sparkling.

4 : In the last few days Ros has noticed that I'm losing my baby teeth. Almost all my front incisors are gone but I'm already growing in my big teeth so I've developed the need to chew lately.  It's good I have such a pawesome toy collection plus my chicken frames to chew on.

Now we must choose some blogs to pass it onto and they are: The Life and Times Of Charlemagne, Murphy & Stanley, Stella & Rory from Down Under, Eva the Sheltie and The Adventures of Two Doodles and a Growing Great Dane!

Once again, thank you Finn over at Finn's Dog Blog.

WALK AT HOVELLS CREEK

Hi Milo & Jet here! On Sunday Ros took us to Hovell's Creek. I had of course been before but this was Jet's first time and he was very excited once we arrived.  The first thing we did was check the local doggie news to see who else had been visiting lately. There was lots to read and it took us five minutes before we were satisfied that we were up to date with all the local doggie news.

Oh! This smell's very interesting! Don't you think Milo?  After reading the local news we headed off to begin our walk. This is the sign at the beginning of our walk telling you how long the walk is and other important things.

After walking for a little while Ros decided it was time for photos so after we had sniffed out a suitable location the photo taking began and if we do say so ourselves we did a very good job.
Don't we look very handsome?  After all that posing we and our humans decided to have a rest so our humans sat down on a near by chair. Suddenly though Ros spotted something that made her very excited. It was a little native bird called a flame robin and she thought it was very cute so she took some photos so we could show you all.
Isn't it beautiful? Well after taking time to rest our humans decided it was time to start heading back so we head off but we didn't get very far before we ran into a new friend. She was a yellow Labrador that lives right near the Hovell's Walk.  She comes here a lot which is pawesome for her as it's such an awesome place. So Jet and I did a very nice hello to her.
If you're wondering why there are no photos of Jet meeting and greeting it is because he was just so excited to meet a new dog that Ros couldn't take a photo as he just wouldn't stay still long enough for a photo to be taken. They did however get on very well. After saying hello we continued on back towards the car but before we got there we were asked to do some more posing in front of the enter sign.

After finishing with the posing we arrived back at the car and jumped right in; two tired but very happy puppies and we can't wait to go on another adventure with our human soon.

GOODBYE PUPPY SCHOOL

Hey! Jet here! Last Wednesday was my last time at puppy school.  It was an extra special night and we were given lots of fun things. Firstly we started with puppy play, by far my most favourite time at puppy school.  Once we were let off our leads we began to play straight away.

Well after all that playing we had to get down to the important business of graduating. To graduate we had to show that we could do a sit, stay and then come to our humans. Everyone there had a go and I'm pleased to say they all passed. Then it was my turn.  Ros and I walked into the middle and she told me to sit which I did very well. Then she told me to stay and she walked backwards a few feet and I didn't budge. Then I heard my name and come so I bounced over to Ros. She was very very happy with me! I thought my fur was going to fall out over the amount of kisses she gave me so I passed with flying colours. I was given a pawesome certificate and a bag of goodies. The bag had lots of cool things in it like treats and a ball. Plus lots of things for Ros to look at like obedience schools and other things.  I shall miss puppy school and all the friends that I made but I'm sure to make many more very soon. Here is my Graduation Certificate and me posing with it.
