This is what Ros had bought for us :) There's Lamb Necks, Lamb Ribs and Beef Bones so we certainly will be enjoying all this over the next few weeks. Then we saw Ros opening the beef bones and grab out two and then she started heading towards the door so we quickly followed after her. Heading into our pen to be given our spoil.
We spent the next few hours chewing on our bones until not one piece of meat was left anywhere on them. Then we came inside for a big sleep as all that chewing was very hard work and our teeth just about shone in the dark afterwards.
Yummmm! Got to love the mental stimulation that comes with working over a good bone!
ReplyDeleteOh yum! We haven't had a bone in AGES! You are so lucky.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words about our Daisy. It's been a difficult day, lots of tears, but we took HER for a long walk to make HER feel better.

Oh Happy Day! Chew on, Friends!

Oh you lucky labs! And Ros is lucky too - I turn around and only show my bum when mama tries to take a photo of me with a treat! We haven't got a decent photo of me with any bones in 4 years. Daddy is a hunter and I get deer antlers and moose bones here in Manitoba, Canada.
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds strange but I don't actually know how to chew bones, ailsa was teaching me but she didnt have enough time left. , Mums thinks Im scared of chewing thats why I only chew if nobodys can see me. even a bone. . I seem to like the beef bones best
ReplyDeleteWe want to try that with Monty and Harlow. Does your Mom separate you? How do you make sure the dogs don't swallow bones or choke?
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
No we aren't separated when we get bones as where very good boys :) As for not choking on the bones well always been given bone since we where puppies and have learnt all the best ways to chew. Plus Ros always makes sure to either get very big bones that we can't eat or smaller ones that we can but still large enough that we break them up into bite size pieces. We love bones and recommend them to all doggies.
DeleteIt's an age old math. Raw bones + Grass= Feast for a King.
ReplyDeleteBack when I stayed with my mom, we would usually ask the person who cooked beef stew for their left over bones. The dogs just love them. My mom would usually bring a couple of pig skulls with her when she comes home.
