OUR 100TH POST & YARRA BEND PARK ADVENTURE

Hey, Milo & Jet here! A few days ago we realised that our next post was going to be number 100!!!  Yah!  So, of course, we had to go somewhere very special to celebrate such a big blog milestone. What we love about blogging is sharing in with all our fur friends pawesome adventures from around the world and being able to share ours as well. Yesterday we saw Ros grabbing our leads and a bag of treats so we knew we were about to go on an adventure.  After a little while we all jumped into the car and headed off on our adventure. A while later we saw this sign out the car window so we knew we were almost there.
After a little while we had arrived and as soon as the humans had grabbed everything we went in to check it out and this is the first thing we saw.
After reading the rules we asked Ros to take a photo of the park so you can see how pawesome it was to play in and how much space it had just for us doggies to explore.
Isn't it pawesome dog friends?  This is only a tiny part of the whole park.  Once we were let off we soon got down to the important business of exploring.
There were so many new smells to sniff out that both our noses got a huge work out. After taking our time to work out all the new smells our human decided to take a walk down the path and see what else we could find; so, off we all headed.  There were lots of lovely trees and plants at Yarra Bend so it sort of had a bush type smell to it.
Walking among the trees was lovely and provided some great smells plus the trees provided some nice shade for us so we didn't get too hot on such a nice day.
Oh this smells interesting! I wonder who it could have been? Another thing we loved doing was running through the long grass on the side of the paths. It was so tall it could almost hide us!! See?
After walking down the path for a while we decided to turn around and go back to the open grass area to see if there were any dogs there we could say hello to. Once we got back we could not believe our noses! There were dogs everywhere!! The first doggie we said hello to was a Beagle Doggie that was very friendly and we soon became good friends.
After becoming great fur friends with the Beagle doggie we continued on and it wasn't long before we came across our next new friend, an old english sheepdog. We both thought that was very cool as we had never seen one before so we all had fun saying hello.
Our next fur friend was an old english bulldog that was very playful and we all had a great time saying hello to each other.
Well after saying goodbye to our new bulldog friend we met Jet's best fur friend of the entire day; a seven month old greyhound puppy. They hit it off straight away. They both had the same play style which made it very fun for the humans watching them play together. The best part is we learnt that they come to yarra bend a few times a week so the next time we come I'm sure we will see them again.
Jet talking. As you can see we youngsters had the most pawesome play together with lots of rough & tumble but that's the best way to play I think. While I was busy playing with my new greyhound friend Milo was busy making a friend of his own, a lovely old german shepherd doggie.
Well after all that meeting and greeting Jet and I decided it was time to have a little rest so we walked over to a lovely shaded area and lay down. We both had a big drink from our doggie drink bottles that Ros had brought with us.
Don't we look very handsome ?

After having a big rest we decided to keep going and see what else we could find so off we headed on another of the trails that were there and it didn't take us long to make more new friends.
After making more friends Ros decided to get a photo of us all together. Firstly though, a place to sit needed to be sniffed out. After that was done we sat down ready for photo taking and if we do say so ourselves it came out very well.
Well after photo taking we continued on and soon we had reached a place where humans can buy food for themselves so while Ros waited with us for the food to be bought we got lots of attention from all the people that walked by. They were saying how handsome we were, which is true of course!! After getting so much human attention we saw another doggie out with his human.  They saw us and came over to say hello to us.
After our humans had eaten we started walking back towards the off lead area and went through a lovely area of trees on the way back.
Once we had reached the off lead area we soon found another friend. She was a very pretty Koolie dog and she looked quite cool having one blue eye. Koolies are an Australian working breed for things like sheep or cows. They're similar to kelpies in looks.

Well after saying good-bye to this new friend we soon made a new one. This time of the human variety! She was very nice and gave us both some lovely pats which we enjoyed, of course.
Jet here! While Milo was busy getting cuddles I suddenly spotted another new friend! A border collie that I had pawesome fun chasing. While my new fur friend was pawesome to chase he had secret weapon speed. He was just so fast that very soon I was struggling to keep up, despite my best efforts.
Hey Wait For Me!
Eventually I had to admit defeat but Ros told me if I tried any harder I would have run my legs right off.  Yikes! That doesn't sound good! I mean, I like my legs.  After all that border collie chasing a rest was in order so I found a nice shady spot and lay down for a while which gave Ros the chance of getting a photo of Milo & I together.
Don't we look so good together?  After having a little rest we spotted another Beagle doggie called Charlie who was very friendly so we walked over to say hello to him.
After saying goodbye to Charlie we soon ran into another new friend; a seven month old Fox Terrier called Maxims.
Jet talking. Maxim's was my second best friend of the day. As we are both young we enjoyed playing together.  After saying hello to us he did a play bow and that was to good an invitation to ignore.  We were soon rolling on top of each other  as youngsters do. Please Play With Me !!
Well after such a pawesome time playing bitey face we decided some chasing was in order.  Even though he had smaller legs then me I had trouble keeping up with him.
Well after having one last great game of chase our humans decided it was time to go home so we headed over to the exit and we almost there when we spotted a chocolate us so went over for a quick hello.
After saying goodbye to this last friend we were put back onto our leads and taken to the car and once  we had jumped in we soon passed out. Oh!! We had such a huge outing that we could barely even keep our eyes open to get back to the car. We had a fantastic time at Yarra Bend Park and would recommend it to any doggie looking for a spot to take their humans to for an adventure. Once  we got home we slept in until the next morning. Bye now from Milo & Jet.

  15. That's a fantastic park and you met so many interesting pups. We go to the river most Saturdays and meet up with the same dogs. There are usually 10 of us altogether and we just run and play while the humans talk.

Thanks for stopping by our blog. We love to meet new pups. We live in country NSW.
