NEW TOYS

Hey! Milo here! Last week my humans came home and I knew at once they had something for me so I went over to investigate and found they had bought two new toys for me. Oh Boy!!
Aren't they pawesome new toys, dog friends? On Tuesday we went up to the oval to try out my new toys. First I had a bit of a run around to smell all the new scents.
Then the games began! First, we tried out my new orange ball. I waited for Ros to throw the ball for me but she took a bit too long for my liking so I tried to encourage her with some friendly barking.
Come on, Ros. Please throw the ball! Thanks to my encouragement she soon threw the ball for me so I charged off to get it.
The verdict is that I love my new orange ball. It's heaps of fun to chase and is very soft and light so it feels nice to carry around as well. Plus its great bright orange color is very easy to see for doggies and their humans. So after playing with my new orange ball for almost half an hour I decided to have a rest in the shade for a little while.
I had been resting in the shade for a little while when suddenly I spotted my best doggie friend Amber. I went over to say hello to Amber and we began to play straight away. We both love to play chase.
Isn't this a pawesome action shot? We were running so fast that only one of our feet was touching the ground at any time. So as we continued running around playing chase Ros suddenly called out to me and threw something for us. We ran after it to see what it was.
After this first throw Amber went home but not before I made sure to take one last photo so you can see her happy face. Hasn't she got just the cutest ears?
After saying goodbye to Amber we continued to play with my new blue toy. This is a special toy made just for doggies. It smells just like vanilla and is meant to have a nice taste as well which I think it did. It's blue which is a color doggies can see just as well as our humans so it's a very clever toy.
So after a few more throws it was soon time for us to go home. We packed up my new toys and headed home. I love my new toys and can't wait 'til we go back to the oval so I can play with them again.

ADVENTURE AT THE YOU YANG'S

Hey! Milo here! A few days ago my human took me to the You Yangs national park. It is only a fifteen kilometre drive from where we live. It is a beautiful spot and even though it's a national park it lets doggies come with their humans as long we're on lead. So early in the morning my humans packed up the car and off we headed to the You Yangs.
This is the sign at the entrance of the You Yangs. There are many different trails at the You Yangs so today we went on one that we had not been on before. It was almost right up the top and the car park had some pawesome views of the sounding area. As soon as we arrived Ros and I went to check out the view.
Isn't it a pawesome view? We took a seat on a huge rock together and admired the view. Then Ros decided to get photos of my handsome self lying on the rock.
It turned out very well if i do say so myself! After photo taking was over we headed off on our walk. The path we went on was surrounded by trees which gave us some nice shade as we began our exploring.
Doesn't it look like a great place for walks with the beautiful trees surrounding the paths. We had been walking for a little while when Ros decided it was time for photos so once I had sniffed a suitable location the photo taking began.
They came out very well if i do say so myself. After photo taking was finished we kept going and I soon found some very interesting smells.
I wonder what this could be? Perhaps kangaroo? We had been walking for a while when we stopped to get more photos of the path and the nice foliage that surrounds it.
Then as we kept going we came across a huge rock so for a challenge we stopped and Ros told me to jump on so she could take a photo of me standing on the rock.
I think it came out very well. Soon we took off again and we came across a sign that started a new walking track. For some fun we decided to do some exploring and see what was down there.
After exploring this new spot we decided to turn around and start heading back towards the car when suddenly Ros stopped again as she had found another place for me to pose. It was a rock that was flat and easy to walk onto.
I think these snaps turned out very well if do say so again! After that we kept going and soon had arrived at the car so I jumped in and we went home. I had a great time at the You Yangs today and after having a big drink I fell to sleep straight away.

HOVELLS CREEK WALK

Hi! Milo, here. Yesterday I went to a place I had never been before. It was called Hovell's Creek Walk. It's found in Lara. We arrived just before lunch time so after getting all the things out of the car we headed off on our walk.
This is the sign at the car park. It tells you a little bit of info which is important for our humans to know. The sign tells you how far the walk is and whether there is any place to get drinks for doggies which is most important to know I think. So we headed off on our walk with me leading the way. First we went under a little bridge which was fun as it was nice and cool underneath and there was a small river running under the bridge so that was fun to look at. Unfortunately I was not allowed to go in today which i thought was quite unfair.
Isn't this a cute little bridge? Once we had come out the other side I got down to the important business of exploring this new place which required my excellent sniffing ability to make sure I worked out all new smells correctly.
This smell is interesting!! I wonder who else has come this way? Perhaps poodle?
This is the view on the other side of the bridge. Isn't it pawesome? After sniffing out the view we continued on with our walk and soon we came to the sign telling us we were at the beginning of the walking trail.
It's a fantastic spot to go for a walk with your human as it has lovely scenery. It is a well made walking track as well so it's also suitable for bikes or wheelchairs.
Isn't it a cool spot? We went off on our walk but not before I stopped for another sniff in the grass. I think that grass always seems to have the best smell in it. What do you think, dog friends ?
So we had been walking for a while when Ros decide to get photos of my handsome self. Once she found a suitable spot I had to do a stand- stay while she pointed a black box at me to get my picture. It came out very well if i do say so myself.
After photo taking was over we continued on with our walk and as we kept going Istarted seeing lots of trees and water ahead. It had a sea type smell to it which was very nice to sniffas we kept walking on.
Then we came to a little hut type thing and that had a drinking stand for the people and they even supplied an ice cream container for passing doggies to drink from. Now, how is that for service?
We stayed there for a little while to admire the view which was very pawesome I thought. It had a huge lake with nice little shrubs around it.
After checking out the view for a little while we decided to turn around and head back the way we came so off we went. After a little while though we stopped again as Ros was worried that I was getting a bit hot. I got to have a rest under a nice tree as it was cool underneath and I was soon deemed cool enough to continue. Honestly, sometimes i think Ros worries about me a little too much but shush, don't tell her that.
After stopping to get another photo of the view it was again my turn for photos. Once again they came out very well; not that it's hard to take good photos if you have such a handsome subject.
After a little while we had made our way back to the car and once my humans had packed up the car I jumped in and had a well deserved rest. I loved going to Hovells creek walk and would definitely recommend it to other doggies as well.
