BEACH BOYS PART 1

Hey Milo & Jet here! Today we went on a truly pawesome adventure.  Early in the morning we woke up to find Ros grabbing our leads and drink bottles so we knew we were about to go on a big adventure. Once everything had been packed into the car we jumped in and off we headed toward our destination. A while later the car suddenly stopped so we knew we had arrived at our destination. Yes, our humans had taken us to the beach. Not just any beach though!  A dog off lead beach. Oh!!  We were so excited we could hardly contain ourselves.

Come on humans. We want to get to the beach! Thankfully, after only a few photos we headed down to the beach where we soon were let off to explore and have fun. We took the having fun part very seriously indeed as you can see.  This was Jets first time at the beach but you would have trouble telling that because as soon as he was let off he ran flat out down to the sand and jumped head first into the water and swam. The humans were very proud of him.
Well after Jet proved he was a true water baby we started exploring the sand and meeting the other dogs who had bought their humans along to the beach on such a lovely day. The first doggie we ran across was a staffordshire bull terrier who was very interested in playing with his tennis ball rather then saying hi to us so we quickly started playing together.
We were having so much fun playing tag that at first we didn't see that Ros had found a stick for us to play with. Once we realised this though we sped over to Ros and out after our stick.
The first throw, Jet won the race to the stick.  He was bringing it back when he got distracted so he dropped the stick and Ros had to find another one.  This time she found a very pawesome stick as it was large and easily seen even when swimming.

On this second throw Jet and I invented a new olympic sport. We call it the synchronised retrieve!! It's a very hard sport as the stick has to be big enough that your legs don't get tangled up with your partners while still short enough that you're still very close together. We think we did very well for our first try.  After all that fetching we decided we had enough and instead we just went for a relaxing paddle. Jet also had fun when the waves came.  He liked jumping over them even if they were really small.
After splashing through the waves we went for a stroll along the beach and soon ran into our first fur friend; a beautiful golden retriever doggie that we walked over to say hello to.
After saying hello to our new golden friend we continued on our way when Jet soon spotted a Staffordshire bull terrier that needed chasing.
After chasing the staffordshire bull terrier Jet spotted our golden friend was having a swim so he went over to join him.

I decided going for another swim looked like a great idea so I took off to join Jet for a swim.
While Jet was still busy splashing in the waves I was busy posing for the camera. First a place had to be sniffed out.
After getting my photo taken I was let off to go and explore again and soon ran into a friendly little beagle doggie.
Jet talking. I wish to introduce you to my best fur friend of our entire day at the beach. His name is Domino and he was a Dalmatian and we were best friends at first sniff.
After having fantastic fun chasing each other around we paused and did some sniffing of each other.
After stopping for a quick sniff we began playing together again almost straight away. We had lots of fun wrestling and racing among the waves.
Well we hope you have enjoyed reading all about the first part of our adventure. There is still heaps more for us to tell you and still many more friends for us to introduce you too. Bye now From Milo & Jet.

  4. Wow, I wish I could go to the beach at the moment! I dream of the warm sunny days when M & D can take me to the beach or the river bank, but its too wet and windy, and cold! Its so wet all the rivers have flooded the banks so M is worried I might get swept away!

last week was 14 below zero and we have snow so your pictures look very inviting.
